Telehealth Psychiatrist in Massachusetts
So much of telehealth psychiatry in Massachusetts is provided by nurse practitioners, not physicians. Most platforms divide therapy and medication management between two separate providers. And most initial appointments run 30 to 45 minutes.
Dr. Ashley Matskevich offers something much more attentive, personalized, and impactful. She is a board-certified psychiatrist — Harvard Medical School faculty — who provides both therapy and medication management herself, in a private practice setting, with a 75-minute intake appointment that is the same via telehealth as it is in person.

Telehealth Psychiatry Appointments for Massachusetts Residents
Welcome to My Practice
I started my practice in 2022 with a clear sense of where I wanted to be and why. Boston drew me for the same reason it draws researchers and clinicians from around the world — it's one of the few places where neuroscience and psychotherapy are genuinely valued together, not treated as opposing philosophies. That integration is central to how I practice.
I live and work in Brookline by choice — the walkability, the parks, the neighborhood feel. I walk to work. I run races across Massachusetts all year. This is home.
The standard hasn't changed: the kind of care I would want for my own family. That means understanding each patient's full history, considering every option, and never stopping asking whether there's something more we could be doing to improve how life actually feels.

About Dr. Matskevich
Dr. Ashley Matskevich is a board-certified psychiatrist and MD who has spent her entire career in Massachusetts. She trained in the Harvard Longwood program — rotating across Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Massachusetts Mental Health Center, and Boston Children's Hospital — served as chief resident of the inpatient psychiatry unit, and moonlighted in the state hospital system at Tewksbury and Taunton before opening her private practice in Brookline, where she lives and works today.
She remains an active member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School, where she teaches psychopharmacology and supervises resident psychiatrists — keeping her clinical knowledge current in the same program that shaped her own training. She has a particular clinical interest in women's mental health across the reproductive life cycle — including perinatal anxiety, postpartum depression, and mood changes related to hormonal and reproductive transitions.
Her approach to treatment is integrative and unhurried. She provides both psychotherapy and medication management herself, drawing on psychodynamic and CBT frameworks, and incorporates nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle into every treatment plan — informed by her MGH Certificate in Nutrition and Mental Health. She sees Massachusetts residents via telehealth statewide.
Why Patients Choose Dr. Matskevich for Telehealth Psychiatry
You're Seeing a Physician, Not a Mid-Level Provider
The majority of telehealth psychiatric providers in Massachusetts are nurse practitioners or physician assistants — skilled clinicians, but not physicians. Dr. Matskevich is a board-certified MD with full physician training, diagnostic scope, and the clinical depth that comes from a Harvard Longwood residency across four major academic medical centers.
Your First Appointment Is Long Enough to Actually Matter
Most telehealth psychiatry platforms run initial appointments at 30 to 45 minutes. Dr. Matskevich's intake is 75 minutes — the same via telehealth as in person. Enough time to understand your full history, arrive at a working diagnosis together, and leave with a real treatment plan.
Your Care Reflects What's Happening in Medicine Right Now
Dr. Matskevich currently teaches psychopharmacology and supervises resident psychiatrists at Harvard Medical School — meaning her clinical knowledge reflects what's being taught and practiced today, not a curriculum from a decade ago.
Psychiatric Care That Goes Beyond the Prescription
Dr. Matskevich holds an MGH Certificate in Nutrition and Mental Health from Massachusetts General Hospital — one of the few psychiatric credentials of its kind in the state. Sleep, movement, and nutrition are built into every treatment plan alongside therapy and medication, not offered as an afterthought.
